As an employer there is a legal duty for you to ensure that your employees are adequately trained to operate any piece of work equipment to a safe standard.
NPORS is a flexible way to maintain standards within your workforce. Assessments can take place with your machinery/equipment, on your site. This helps to keep down the cost down and limits days away from site. Alternatively this can be completed at a centre if you do not have the appropriate space or plant.
Both Novice and experienced worker routes are available for a large variety of categories. These include:
Health and safety related courses
NPORS cards with CSCS Logo
Did you know that you can now apply for your NPORS card with the CSCS logo on. Please note that operators will have to supply proof of having passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environmental touch screen test within the two years prior to application for the card.
To convert your trained operator card (Valid for 2 years) to a competent operator card (valid for 5 years) you have to take the relevant (S)NVQ. A CPD record/log book will then need to be kept up to date with your professional development and operating hours for your next renewal.
Please contact us for venues and assessor availability.
An NVQ level 2 is required to upgrade a to Blue CPCS Competency card and CSCS NPORS card.
NVQ level 2
Forward Tipping Dumper
Ride On roller
Please note that in order to complete any NVQ, all delegates are required to have valid health and safety and the environment test, taken within 2 years.
If you are interested in an NVQ that is not listed please call us and we can source an assessor for you.
In- House Plant Training
We can offer in house training and assessments for large plant suited to your companies individual needs. This can be completed on site or at a training centre.
In-house training is a way of training employees to be competent on the machinery they are using on your sites. As an employer you have a duty to ensure that all persons are provided with information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure the health and safety of employees (Health and Safety at work act 1974).
As 'Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work equipment have received adequate training for purposes of health and safety,' (The provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 - PUWER). Providing employees with in-house training will give the operator a certificate that can be used within your company and meet the PUWER guidelines.
In- house courses available for excavator, dumper, Telehandler, ride on roller, loading shovel, slinger signaller and many more.
Please give us a call to discuss your companies plant training requirements on 0117 287 2418.
